For this project, each person in the class was given a small section of a piece of artwork that we had to enlarge and work collaboratively to make a mural. The first thing that I did was section of the smaller piece and then use the same dimensions and mark off the same sections on the bigger piece of paper. This ensured that everything in the larger image would be proportional to that in the smaller image. After this was done, I went through each section and made an outline of all the major parts of each section. Then, once everything had a rough outline, I went in with pencils and a shading tool and began adding value to each section. This really made the image come to life. After everyone's images were done, we worked together to piece all the images together and made the mural.

Our first assignment this year was to participate in a task party. This project involved taking a prompt from a basket, and creating something completely unique. My task was to ask people what their middle names were and then I was to put them on the wall. My friend and I took this a completely different direction than a couple other people and we made paper snow flakes and wrote the middle names on them and tied them together with string and hung them up on the window. The fun thing about the task party was seeing what everyone else came up with for their tasks and seeing how creative we all could get, and how we could all work collaboratively.
